HR policy
Our professional responsibility tranlates into commitment to our customers, business partners and colleagues as well as to the society we are a part of.
- Alcohol-, medicine- and drug abuse is not tolerated at the workplace.
- Smoking is not allowed inside the Institute’s buildings.
Our goal is to be professional and proper in speech, act and and dress with respect to the situation and show consideration for each other.
Further explanatory comments from Annemarie Søgaard, Personnel Manager
Over time every company creates for itself a set of guidelines for good behaviour. This often involves unwritten rules which develop along with changing attitudes in society at large.
In our case we have chosen to focus especially on certain elements we feel are worth stressing, namely that alcohol-, medicine- and drug abuse are not tolerated at the workplace.
- Medicine- and drug abuse are generally not accepted
- At events held at the Institute we have water on the lunch tables rather than beer, as does every modern company. During celebrations such as jubilees and important birthdays, both beer and wine may be served.
- For employees who have a problem with alcohol consumption, the Institute can offer help to tackle this.
Smoking
Another area where the general attitude in society has changed drastically over the last few years in smoking, which is why the Institute has introduced a smoking ban in all our buildings.
All in all it is true to say that everywhere the watchword is show consideration.
We strive at all times to be professional and appropriate in speech, act and dress with respect to the Institute. This we achieve by adapting ourselves to the situation and always bearing in mind that when we represent the Insititute we represent more than 850 people.
