Concrete bridge made of green concrete

Green concrete activities - Green Concrete

Logo Danish Centre for Green ConcreteGreen concrete is another name for resource-saving concrete structures, i.e. structures having a reduced environmental impact with regard to energy consumption, emissions and waste generation. Green concrete is very often also cheaper to produce, because residual materials from various industries are used as a partial substitute for cement. Furthermore, land-fill taxes are avoided, energy consumption in production is lowered, and durability is improved.

If you are a concrete manufacturer, the Concrete Centre can help implementing cleaner technologies into production, e.g. recycling of water and concrete slurry, development of green concrete mix designs. The centre can also help document the properties of green concrete, e.g. strength and durability.

If you are a manufacturer of a residual product, the Concrete Centre can help you analyse the possibilities for using this into concrete production and procure the necessary documentation. The Concrete Centre can also help establish contact to and collaboration with concrete manufacturers.
