Project – Work environment catalogue regarding the handling of nano particles
Nanotool – Guides and inspiration for SME (small & mediumsized enterprises)
Project start October 2008. Expected completion February 2010.
The project’s objective is to develop an online catalogue; to inspire, offer guidance and work as an analytic tool (NANOTOOL) helping to identify and improve work risk and safety aspects of nano handling in production and laboratory environments.

- Gather the most recent National & International information
- Qualified and use-orientated recommendations on safety and health issues.
- Precise monitoring of work environmental challenges with regards to nano particle handling
- Recommendation & guidance based upon scientific knowledge and practical experience

Activities
The work environment catalogue and NANOTOOL addresses safety representatives in a diverse array of manufacturing branches e.g. concrete, paint / polish, plastics / composites, foodstuffs, research & development. Published in an ´easy to understand` language, using interactive and educational tools creating a collection of existing knowledge, tips and advice.
- Practical identification and valuation of exposure and toxicological dangers
- Organisation of workplace and work routines
- Protective devices
- Safety information from suppliers etc.
- Introduction to Nano particles and relevant work environment problems
