Project – Encapsulation of Bioactive Macromolecules
BioEnCap
Project start July 2006. Expected completion December 2009.
In BioEnCap, we are developing new nano and micro technologies for encapsulation and controlled release of drugs and food ingredients, including enzymes. The results are expected to lead to a new basic understanding of encapsulation of labile macromolecules with an application–oriented focus. The knowledge and technology of the Consortium will, on a commercial basis, be put at the disposal of companies in the pharmaceutical, food and biotech industries via the Danish Technological Institute.
The Consortium is made up of five companies of varying size, addressing different issues, but with the common need to develop new formulations of bioactive molecules.
