Employment at the Danish Technolgical Institute is normally covered by a set of flexible agreements.
As an employee of the Danish Technolgical Institute, you are employed in accordance with the Institute’s policies and agreements. Further explanatory comments from Peter C. Nielsen, Chief Consultant So it is my turn to give some personal comments in a section of the Institute’s personnel policy, which this time concerns employment terms and conditions. Well-regulated employment terms and conditions have always enjoyed high priority at the Danish Technolgical Institute and have played their part in creating good jobs and attracting highly competent staff. We have agreements with six employee unions and as a result have a veritable army of shop stewards. Together with Personnel and Development they put a lot of effort into creating the conditions to ensure a pleasant and positive work environment for every individual employee. They are also available to help if any doubts should arise for an employee concerning terms and conditions. As building manager I have staff employed covered by all six agreements, so for me personally it would easier if there were somewhat fewer of them. The Co-operative Committee is the forum where the principal questions are discussed between the elected representatives for the employees and the Institute’s management. It might be considered a little unfortunate for such a committee that there appears to be a conflict of interests between on one side managament and on the other side the employees. In reality however this apparent conflict of interests does not exist on a day-to-day level at our workplace. As a member of the committee I am happy to say that I have witnessed a positive trend over the last few years with better dialogue between management and employee representatives. At the Insititute we maintain a positive view on life and the corporate culture reflects this by dissociating ourselves from any kind of discrimination against any particular group of employees. Fortunately we have room for all irrespective of ethnic background or age. I am convinced that everyone in the management group, personnel, the co-operative committee, the shop stewards and all the employees are united in making sure the Institute remains the excellent workplace it is, with its sound financial basis and good physical and mental working environment: all together summed up in the personnel policy. | Your ContactAnnemarie Drasbæk SøgaardPersonnel and Development +45 72 20 20 70 Contact me |
