Job and Career - Seeking a job

Unsolicited applications
If we have no available positions matching your qualifications and desires, you are always welcome to submit your CV to our electronic CV database. Here you can fill out your data and attach a CV and perhaps a brief motivated application.

You will be asked to register a user name and password to use if you want to update or delete your CV later. Every 6 months, you will be sent a reminder that you must log into your profile if you want to continue to be included in our CV database.

In connection with submitting your CV to our database, you have the opportunity to create a job agent. With the job agent, you receive an e-mail with the positions we have posted that match your reported desires.

Send us your unsolicited application via: http://teknologisk.easycruit.com/career-center/login?iso=gb.

Applying for a job as an intern – students or graduates
You can apply for an internship with us, either as an integrated part of your education at a secondary school or as a graduate in a 4 week internship in cooperation with your municipality. Under the tab 'Available jobs', you can find the internship postings that fit your skills and send your application through these. We handle applications on an ongoing basis and will contact you if there is a basis for cooperation.

Applying for an available position
Our available positions are announced under the 'Available jobs' tab, where you can find information about the job and apply online by clicking 'Send application'.

When you apply for a position with us, your data is stored in our database. At any time, you may choose to remove your data, and you will be asked after 6 months whether you wish to continue to be on file.

All applications are treated confidentially. When we receive your application, you will get an automatic confirmation. Be aware that we only accept electronic applications via the job posting.

The manager who is looking for a new employee evaluates all applications and then chooses the candidates that best match the job requirements and invites them to an interview.

At the Danish Technological Institute, we put a lot of effort into giving all applicants a professional treatment and it is also important that we find the candidate or candidates that are best suited for the job in the resulting recruitment process.

The recruitment process typically takes about 6 weeks from the end of the application deadline and until the right candidate is found.

Job interviews at the Danish Technological Institute
When you come to an interview with us, we expect you to be well prepared in order for us to get an adequate impression of each other. It is important that you have made it clear what you expect of us and where you can contribute. The interview is also your opportunity to get to know us and it is therefore a good idea to ask some clarifying questions.

We typically hold two rounds of interviews before hiring employees. Usually, the manager and a supervisor from the centre you are applying will participate in the first interview. At the second interview, you will also meet either the Division Director and/or an HR consultant.

First interview
The job interview gives an impression of the job you are applying for and of the Danish Technological Institute as a whole. There will especially be questions about your academic qualifications and you will have the opportunity to talk about your motivation for applying for the job. After the interview, you will have a greater insight into who we are so that together we can evaluate whether this is the right job for you. Afterwards, you will receive either a rejection or an invitation to a second interview.

Second interview
The second interview is primarily aimed at your experience, your personal skills and your professional behaviour. Based on the second interview, we will select the candidate we believe is best suited for the job. We will also ask for references at the second interview.

Rejection - then what?
If you are not considered for a position, that does not mean that you can ever get another position at the Danish Technological Institute. Your qualifications are only evaluated in relation to the current job you applied for. Therefore, you can always apply for a position with us again and you can choose to keep your CV in our CV database.

A good application
Both your CV and your application are important to us. The CV tells us about your formal qualifications in relation to education and professional experience and your application tells us why you are applying for the job and what you can contribute to this particular position.

A good application responds to what we are asking for in the job posting. If you have questions about the position, you are always welcome to contact the person specified in the job posting.
