DynaCQ Press release

DMRI launches a new version of DynaCQ at Interpack 4th to 10th May 2017

  • DynaCQ is now available with a smaller footprint cabinet and a larger touchscreen for user-friendly interaction and for displaying product images.
  • The new DynaCQ combines a smaller footprint with a larger field of view.
  • Food companies concerned about maintaining the highest standards for foreign body detection have already commissioned the new model.
  • A new solution for detection of plastics and other low density materials in trim and coarsely ground products on the belt has also been launched.

The new DynaCQ 2017 version offers several benefits reducing recall costs for the food industry (Patent pending):

  • The new high speed application allows to measure coarsely ground product on the belt. The new application is already being commissioned by several food processors focusing on detection in coarsely ground fresh, frozen and further processed meat products.
  • Smaller footprint allows easier installation on existing production lines and requires only 600 mm on the conveyor.
  • A wider field of view (tunnel width 510 mm) enables higher product throughput and larger products.
  • Large 17” monitor with higher resolution eases operator use.
  • Ensures product quality and minimizes your recall costs.
  • Reduces product waste.

Automatic quality control and image storage

DynaCQ also provides on-line inspection of your retail packed minced meat product surfaces to ensure they are free from unwanted objects. Millions of retail packed trays have already been checked by DynaCQ - the reliable final check point for trays.

Operators in the food industry wear aprons, gloves and protective sleeves made from low density materials like plastic. Plastic in-liners and covers are also widely used to protect products. Unfortunately, the materials occasionally get torn, and small fragments can end up in the product.

Low density materials cannot be detected by x-ray or metal detectors, and it is almost impossible for operators to identify small fragments in the product surface with fast moving products on the conveyor belt.

“DynaCQ solves this problem. By using a multi spectral camera with special illumination, DynaCQ detects the unwanted components and allows the processor to stop and remove small fragments, which deviate from the natural colours of the product” explains Product Manager Niels Madsen, Danish Meat Research Institute.

“With DynaCQ installed on top of existing conveyors food manufacturers can detect foreign objects in e.g. minced meat in trays, as well as in meat cuts, steaks, dices, pulled and processed ground products. Thus, it prevents contaminated products from reaching the consumer and makes it possible for the manufacturers quickly to take corrective actions to reduce product waste. In addition, DynaCQ provides image storage for product documentation making it easier to handle complaints” says Niels Madsen.
