Biogas – 5. Digestate Utilization
Biogas plants play a central role in the transition to a bio-based society. While utilising organic waste and residual biomass from agriculture for green energy, biogas plants provide the opportunity to recycle nutrients and carbon back into the agricultural soil.
Danish Technological Institute has more than 10 years of experience in developing and documenting solutions for optimal utilization of the degassed biomass.
We offer counselling on:
- Development of technologies for the separation and further treatment of digestate biomass
- New fertiliser products and soil improvers based on digestate biomass
- Applications for the fibre fraction
- Economic assessments of investments in gasified biomass technologies
In addition, we carry out demonstration, testing and verification of digestate treatment technologies to document the efficiency and operational stability of different solutions.
