Get the tools to optimise the value of your IT services

On this course, you will receive an inspiring introduction to ITIL® (Version 5), giving you a solid foundation for working professionally with digital product and service management in modern organisations. ITIL helps you and your organisation to optimise the value of your IT and digital products and services. With ITIL, you gain clear guidelines on how, as a service provider, you can best support and meet your customers’ and users’ digital needs. The course provides insight into ITIL’s terminology, key concepts and essential models, which contribute to value creation across processes, technologies and roles.

What is new in ITIL (Version 5)

The new ITIL has evolved from focusing on classical service management to being a fully modern framework for digital product and service management in a digital, AI-supported reality. ITIL 5 unifies product and service management in a single lifecycle, enabling you to work end to end to discover needs, design, build, transition, operate, deliver and support digital products and services as a coherent value stream. At the same time, ITIL 5 is “AI native”, which means that AI, automation and data are integrated elements in ITIL’s principles, models and governance – complemented by dedicated guidance for responsible AI management.

ITIL (Version 5) focuses on a holistic, experience-driven approach (customer, user and employee experience), clearer roles and a focus on outcomes, making it easier for you to link strategic objectives with concrete day-to-day results. The new ITIL continues the fundamental principles and practices from ITIL 4, but has been updated so that ITIL meets the requirements of modern, product-centric, agile and AI-driven organisations.
