Accredited testing of plastic materials - Testing under extreme conditions
Select Page
When critical plastic components must withstand extremely high or low temperatures, it is important that quality assurance takes place under realistic conditions.
The plastics laboratory therefore tests mechanical properties at both high and low temperatures and is equipped to condition specimens in controlled humidity prior to testing.
In addition to testing according to international standards (e.g., ISO 75), we also assist with customer-specific testing of properties before and after exposure (cleaning, chemicals, etc.).
How can the Danish Technological Institute assist you?
- We document heat resistance, e.g., for CE marking
- We test brittleness before, during, and after exposure
- We measure friction coefficient at high/low temperatures
- We conduct testing of creep properties and accelerated testing of mechanical properties
- We advise on plastics in extreme environments
- We identify changes, e.g., by comparing ‘good’ and ‘bad’ batches
