Density measurements

Density is defined as the mass per unit volume of a substance. The density of a material is one of its most important properties and can be used, among other things, to identify pure substances, estimate the composition of mixtures, or determine the porosity of a material.

Density measurements of materials can therefore be relevant in connection with quality control or research and development. At the Danish Technological Institute, we can determine the density of solid samples, such as powders, pellets, and granulates. In addition, we can offer further material analysis according to your needs.

The Danish Technological Institute can assist with:

Measurement of density in solids such as:

  • Granulates
  • Powders
  • Pellets

Material analysis for determination of:

  • Surface area
  • Porosity
  • Thermal conductivity
  • Elemental analysis
  • Crystal structure
