Food waste

Food waste exists not only at retailers and consumers, but also throughout the food production chain and in the catering sector. There is an economic benefit as well as a positive sustainability story in reducing food waste.

DTI has developed a wide range of tools and services to successfully reduced food waste throughout the value chain. With basis in our knowledge about large scale kitchens, farming and food innovation, we can advise players from the whole value chain in anything from reducing waste of vegetables in the primary production through optimisation in the catering business all the way to development of final food products based on concepts from side streams.
