Building and Construction

We support the construction sector's green transition, working to minimise the impact of the built environment on climate, biodiversity, resources, and land use. Across the value chain, we develop, test, and document more sustainable solutions that meet national and European requirements. Drawing on deep material knowledge combined with digitalization and AI, we assess structures, optimize operation and maintenance, and deliver documentation of materials' performance. Through research and innovation – from timber construction, bio-based and low-carbon materials to circular economy, renovation, transformation and resilience of the built environment – we work to boost productivity and competitiveness while reducing climate and environmental impact.
