The Danish EPA’s PFAS Partnership for Businesses

PFAS phase-out in companies: Where to start?

Many companies are currently facing a difficult situation: More and more export markets are requiring PFAS documentation. More and more retailers are saying no to PFAS. Legislation is being tightened, and the EU is working on a total ban. At the same time, companies want to be able to act on this without risking product quality, supplier problems or unnecessary costs.

But what if:
  • You actually don’t know whether your products or processes contain PFAS?
  • PFAS enters through suppliers, components and materials that you do not control yourself?
  • You want to get started, but lack the knowledge, tools and someone to bounce ideas off?

If you recognise just one of these challenges, then The Danish EPA’s PFAS Partnership for Businesses is relevant to you. Join our free webinar and learn more about how the PFAS partnership can equip your business for a PFAS-free future.

The webinar will introduce you to The Danish EPA’s PFAS Partnership for Businesses, which has been launched to help companies – large and small – phase out PFAS in products, processes and supply chains. Most importantly, we meet you where you are. Many companies feel overwhelmed by the PFAS challenge, but much can be solved collectively – together we can achieve a lot.

The webinar will give you insight into:
  • What companies gain from participating in the partnership
  • What activities, sparring sessions and tools are made available
  • How the partnership brings together industry, experts and standardisation work in a single forum
  • How you can influence the content based on your company's needs

Who is the webinar for?

The webinar is targeted at R&D leaders, CTOs, environmental managers and other decision-makers and specialists navigating the PFAS challenge.

The webinar will be conducted in English.

What is The Danish EPA’s PFAS Partnership for Businesses?

The Danish EPA’s PFAS Partnership for Businesses (Miljøstyrelsens PFAS-partnerskab for erhvervslivet) is a national initiative that helps Danish companies phase out PFAS and prepare for upcoming requirements in the EU and globally.

The aim is to lower the barriers to phasing out and ensure that companies are not left alone in a complex transition where technical, legal and market requirements are changing rapidly.

Participation in the partnership is free of charge and brings together companies, authorities, experts and industry organisations in a joint forum.

Participants gain access to workshops, experience sharing, practical tools, guides for supplier dialogue and task forces focusing on, for example, functional alternatives, value chain transparency and waste management.

Who is behind the partnership?

The partnership will run for two years (2026-2027) and has been established by the Danish Environmental Protection Agency as part of the government's PFAS action plan. The partnership is run in collaboration with a number of key players and stakeholders:
  • Danish Technological Institute – runs the secretariat and contributes with project management, material knowledge and concrete experience with PFAS phase-out in Danish industry
  • Dansk Standard – develops and contributes with terminology, standards and guidelines for the use and substitution of PFAS
  • Apeiron – contributes with specialised knowledge about PFAS regulation, risk assessment and chemical management
  • inVirke – contributes knowledge about organisational communication and management and change processes in companies
  • Danish Industry (DI) – ensures that the needs, challenges and experiences of industry are actively brought into play. Danish Industry is a member of the PFAS partnership's steering committee
  • Danish Chamber of Commerce – contributes insight from the broader business community and the framework conditions for companies. Danish Chamber of Commerce is a member of the PFAS Partnership's steering committee
