Smart textiles with electronics

FAST-TRAIN

FAST TRAIN (Fused Analytics and Smart Textiles for real-time operational readiness in soldier TRAINing) is funded by the European Defence Fund (EDF) and will boost European defence training with a new, sovereign “human state” (human activity) sensing layer.


The project will fuse miniaturized brain and body signals: helmet-compatible functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS), washable Impedance Cardiography (ICG), and textile-integrated Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), with secure, on-body edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) to turn raw data into live cognitive and physiological scores, all with no cloud dependence.
