Strategies for moisture management in wood construction

This project addressed the critical yet often overlooked aspect of moisture management in wood construction. By developing comprehensive strategies and a best practice guide, the project aim was to to equip both demand and supply side stakeholders with essential tools for effective moisture management.

Objectives

The project objectives were to:

  • Raise awareness of the importance of moisture management strategies in wood construction.
  • Establish best practise moisture management guide
  • Demonstrate best practice moisture management strategies for wood construction in a demonstrator building.
  • Help demand side stakeholders to define requirements for moisture management in wood construction projects.
  • Decrease risk of moisture related damages in wood buildings to accelerate wood construction and enhance quality and efficiency in construction.
