Strengthen your company’s competencies in industrial 3D printing with impartial training and tailored programs
A course in 3D printing provides a targeted skills upgrade that equips companies to evaluate, implement, and leverage the full potential of additive manufacturing (AM). Danish Technological Institute offers both tailored corporate courses and freely accessible online modules covering the entire value chain—from design and technology selection to economics and quality assurance.
How can Danish Technological Institute help you?
Danish Technological Institute provides consulting and training based on years of hands-on experience with industrial manufacturing:
- Tailored corporate courses: Intensive programs customized to your specific industry, materials, and engineering challenges.
- Initial product screening: Have one or more of your company’s existing products screened prior to the course to uncover the potential of transitioning to AM manufacturing.
- In-depth technology understanding: Training in the most widely used printing processes.
- Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM): Learn to design specifically for 3D printing to minimize weight, eliminate assemblies, and optimize functionality.
- Business understanding and economics: Insights into business cases, unit cost calculations, and evaluating on-demand production.
- Quality assurance and standards: An overview of verification, material data, and documentation requirements in industrial production.
Tailored 3D printing course for your company
When multiple employees or departments need to align on additive manufacturing, an internal training program delivers the greatest value. The curriculum is defined in close dialogue with you to match your technological maturity and strategic goals.
As an integrated part of the program, the instructor from the Danish Technological Institute screens one or more of your physical components. This provides a concrete foundation for the training: Employees do not work with theoretical examples, but with the company’s own parts, tolerance requirements, and production costs.
The corporate course process:
- Alignment of expectations and objectives: We map out the participants' prerequisites as well as the company’s strategic needs.
- Product screening: Your selected components are evaluated for their geometric and economic feasibility for 3D printing.
- Course execution: The training takes place either at your facility or at the Danish Technological Institute, focusing on your specific cases.
- Wrap-up and action plan: Participants complete the course with a clear roadmap of the next steps toward implementation.
Free online courses in 3D printing
Our online courses provide a 360-degree introduction to the most common 3D printing technologies. Here, you will learn about e.g. the printing processes, typical applications of the technologies, material types, design possibilities, and the various forms of post-processing.
In addition, there is an introductory course that gives an overall introduction to 3D printing, as well as two courses that focus on quality assurance and the economic aspects of 3D printing.
