Forestry, nature management and climate adaptation

Gain knowledge, methods, and technology to solve tasks within forestry, nature management and climate adaptation. We deliver knowledge and tools used for planning, operation, monitoring and follow-up on all types of tasks within forestry, nature management and climate adaptation.

We do this through the development and testing of new technologies and methods and through dialogue-based establishment of trials and data management. This way, we help land managers, authorities, consultants, operational managers and businesses solve the tasks associated with long-term land management.

How can Danish Technological Institute help?

  • Trial establishment, data collection and reporting, e.g., testing new tree species and cultivation systems in forestry, testing initiatives that convert production areas to nature or adapt land use to the climate
  • Development and testing of technologies and methods for, among other things, automated planting and weed control in afforestation, digital monitoring of nature development initiatives and the use of wood chips for bio-based materials

Få viden, metoder og teknologi til løsning af opgaver inden for skovbrug, naturforvaltning og klimatilpasning"Our ecosystems hold solutions to some of the greatest challenges of our time – climate change, loss of biodiversity and material shortages. However, this requires us to manage them wisely  and for this, we need science-based methods and proven, practical solutions.”
