Upcycling of spent grains from breweries

Discover how breweries and food producers can turn spent grains into valuable products. This international webinar highlights practical experiences, technology, and future trends in upcycling brewery residues, with examples from Upgrain and Brauerei Locher's cutting-edge facility in Switzerland.

About the event

Upcycling spent grains from breweries represents a promising route to reduce waste and create new value streams for both breweries and food producers. In this session, industry experts from Upgrain, Brauerei Locher, and Agrain will share real-world insights, operational considerations, and innovation opportunities connected to spent grain valorization. Participants will gain practical knowledge about ensuring consistent quality, overcoming common barriers, and exploring applications for upcycled grain products. The webinar takes place from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The webinar is conducted as part of the Food Upcycling project, which is supported by the Danish Industry Foundation.
