Vending machines are automated machines that dispense items such as beverages or food items to customers after they insert the required payment. If the vending machine stores perishable or temperature-sensitive items, the machine needs refrigeration.
Accredited Testing Facilities
Our Refrigerating and Energy Related Products Laboratory is accredited to test vending machines according to the following international test standards:
- Testing according to EN 50597.
- Testing according to Commission Regulation (EU) 2019/2018 and Commission Regulation (EU) 2019/2024.
Laboratory Services
In our Refrigerating and Energy Related Products Laboratory, we offer accredited testing of all types of vending machines in various shapes and sizes. We are able to test, for example, storage temperature and the different operating modes that together add up to the annual energy consumption. The modes are:
- Ready mode
- Reload and pull-down mode
- Energy saving mode
- Recovery mode
The testing is conducted under controlled laboratory conditions, and the test standard is structured to simulate the actual conditions that a vending machine will experience under normal use.
