
Compliance and CE Marking of Electronics
The Danish Technological Institute provides advice on compliance and CE marking for electronic products and electrical and electronic equipment (EEE). Such products are often imported from countries outside the EU and may have been tested by an independent third-party test laboratory. We can help you assess and interpret the information provided by the manufacturer, determine whether the appropriate standards have been applied, and evaluate whether the requirements of the relevant EU legislation have been met.
Complex EU Legislation
EU product legislation consists of a wide range of directives and regulations that may apply to your particular product. However, it is not always straightforward to determine which requirements apply, especially without in-depth knowledge of the individual legal instruments and their exemptions.
Importers and distributors are also responsible for ensuring that products placed on the EU market comply with applicable EU legislation. In some cases, they may even assume the manufacturer’s legal responsibilities.

In-House Test Laboratory
Our electronics laboratory can set up tests where there is a need to verify a test result. This may include, for example, protective-earth continuity testing of household appliances, flammability testing or dielectric strength testing.
We also carry out functional testing and quality checks of prototypes and products in our laboratory.
Accredited Services
The Danish Technological Institute is accredited to the battery standards EN IEC 62619:2022 and EN 62620:2015, which cover lithium cells, battery safety and performance.
