Below, you can read more about our current and finished projects on refrigeration technology. By clicking on the links, you will be taken to the specific project pages, where you can read more in-depth information about the projects.
Current projects
’Fingerprints’ of energy optimization in the catering industry - Development of an enhanced monitoring system of walk-in cold rooms or freezer rooms in the catering industry. The projected is expected to be finished in April, 2020.
Promotion of solar PV cooling in Burkina Faso - Developing and demonstrating a new type of solar-powered air conditioning system that can be used in areas without a stable power supply. The project is expected to be finished in October, 2019.
Future Ammonia Refrigeration Systems (FARS) - Development of industrial ammonia evaporator systems with improved energy efficiency. The projected is expected to be finished in September, 2020.
IEA EBC Annex 67 Energy Flexible Buildings - How buildings' energy consumption can be made energy flexible in order to meet the production of renewable energy. The project is expected to be finished in June 2019.
Mixed refrigerant heat pumps/cooling systems (MIREHP) - By using mixtures of refrigerants in refrigeration systems and heat pumps, better system efficiency can be reached resulting in energy savings. The project is expected to be finished in December 2018.
PowerPack in fume hood exhaust (PIEM) - Reducing the deposits of grease in the fume exhaust from industrial kitchens and determine the consequences of this for the energy consumption. The project is expected to be finished in December 2018.
Sales Refrigeration Cabinets - Ready for EU Ecodesign and Energy Labelling - Strengthening the anchoring of ecodesign and energy labelling regulations at Danish manufacturers of sale refrigeration cabinets. The project is expected to be finished in December 2018.
SolarChill 2 - Development and testing of the SolarChill technology and application of environment friendly refrigerants. The project is expected to be finished in December 2018.
Super Optimized Carton Freezer (SOKI) - Development of the optimum design solution for a carton freezer and to optimize the packaging of the freezer. The project is expected to be finished in 2018.
Super supermarkets - The potential of district heating production and electricity grid system services already available, but unexploited in supermarkets. The project is expected to be finished in 2020.
THERMCYC - Advanced thermodynamic cycles utilising low-temperature heat sources - Devising innovative solutions for utilizing low-temperature heat sources at performances superior to state-of-the-art. The project is expected to be finished in February 2019.
